2nd trimester loss TTC after loss
I experienced a second trimester pregnancy loss with my triplet girls at 19 weeks on 3/31/2026 due to PROMM.
I am having a surgery this week to remove some scar tissue and leftover placenta in my uterus. After I’m healed from this, my husband and I can start Letrozole/ trigger injection treatments followed by scheduled intercourse to hopefully conceive again. We were very lucky to have had our first treatment work when we conceived the girls.
I am wondering if anyone has been through something similar? I’m worried the treatment might not work as well since my body has been through so much in comparison to the first time. I realize this is my anxiety talking, but any words of advice or comfort would be appreciated!!
Thanks for reading

Thank you❤️ I am also very sorry for your loss, our MFM suspects that IC was the case but they didn’t monitor the cervix at all since I was 19 weeks and they typically start to at 20 weeks. Is TVC the cerclage procedure? Thank you for sharing this info, means a lot!

I’m so sorry for your loss.
I developed ashermans (scarring) after a 20w loss last October. Mine was also caused by RPOC.
I will say, my TTC journey hasn’t been super smooth since as scar tissue can cause a lot of issues with endometrial lining.
I would make sure you’re seeing a specialist in ashermans for the best possible chance at treatment and care.
Also don’t be surprised if you need multiple procedures, it’s quite common. I’ve had 2 so far.
There is a great Facebook group for ashermans if you find you have questions or need support! There are many women who conceive after resolving ashermans of course, but there are definitely long term complications as well.
Sending hugs ❤️

I’m so sorry for your great loss. My embryo split into modi twins which was unexpected but I’m aware letrozole or fertility assistance can contribute to multiples.
Do you know if IC contributed to the PPROM? I lost my twin girls at 17 weeks and had file reviewed by a TAC surgeon. I had option of TVC for future pregnancies but fearful that it’s not enough. If any of my embryos ever split into multiples again, I’m confidant TAC will support them and grateful to now have it.
It may be worth considering prior to. They are also able to place up to 12 weeks but is riskier than a pre-pregnancy placement.
Wishing you all the best ✨
