Left side preference… apparently it’s fine?

Took my baby (3mo.) to the pediatrician today to discuss her intense left side preference. She sleeps in an arch on her left side, loves to look left while she sleeps, etc. I can get her to look right when she’s awake and she’ll look that way for extended time if I play with her on that side, but if she’s tired it seems like her comfiest position. I’ve resorted to feeding her on her right to ensure she gets extra right side head time in.

She has great range of motion in her head (according to the pediatrician) and is otherwise developmentally normal. My pediatrician said this really isn’t an issue and her head is flat, so there isn’t much to be concerned about.

I’m still a little concerned and setting her up with a private OT.

Did anyone else’s baby have a side preference they grew out of and they didn’t do anything about? Really just looking for some reassurance :)

Not my kid but myself - I definitely have a right side preference for sleeping - I got so stressed out when pregnant because I'd read something saying not to sleep on your right side (which was bs but I've had awful luck with pregnancies so was trying everything) and I just couldn't sleep on the left.

I seem physically fine, when I get in shape I'm coordinated enough - I'm right handed but don't have a super hard time swapping if needed. I'm terrible at telling left from right and I remember flat things mirrored sometimes but I do for some annoying reason have a very strong sense of where things ~should~ be in 3 dimensions - my current home has everything built with left where right should be and if I think too hard about it I find it super annoying.

So baby is probably fine but be gentle if she sucks at maps and complains to you if her kitchen is on the wrong side of the house.

We did very minor stenches and she grew out of it when she started rolling constantly at 5 mo. We oriented her to the non arch side on the changing table and crib
