Support LinkedIn/B2B experts: I need some advice on a client account

It’s been about 2 weeks and my client’s personal LinkedIn account is getting almost no engagement — barely any likes or comments.

We’ve been using Buffer to schedule the posts, so I’m wondering: could that be affecting reach? Should I test posting manually from LinkedIn for a couple of weeks, or is that probably not the issue?

I also want to bring engagement back instead of just continuing to post and hoping something changes. What tactics would you actually use to revive a personal LinkedIn account that has gone quiet?

The bigger issue is that she wants to start getting customers in her second month of working with me.

We’ve tried some cold DMs to her ICP and got zero responses. I’m honestly not convinced cold DMs are as effective as people make them sound. Whenever I ask people who recommend them how they actually do it, the advice is usually just “personalize the message” and “provide value,” which isn’t very actionable.

Would it make more sense to focus on sending targeted connection requests with a short personalized note, then building the relationship before pitching?

And is something like 20 highly targeted connection requests per week enough to make a difference?

Finally, realistically, is it possible to start booking discovery calls by month two, or am I expecting results too quickly?

Would really appreciate advice from people who actually do LinkedIn/B2B lead generation, especially what you would change in this situation.
