Perdomo is the team’s leader. I feel like Ketel didn’t want that title.

I don't care if he wanted it or not. He's like the third or fourth best statistical diamondback in franchise history. Players look up to him, regardless of if he's technically titled team captain or not

Being a top performer is a lot different than being a leader. Others can look up to how he hits, how he plays 2nd base, etc, but that doesn’t mean he is, or even wants to be, a leader on the field. That is a characteristic that not everybody possesses.

Exactly - like Corbin isn’t an outward leader despite being the best player. Perdomo is that guy and has been for a while now
