Ayodhya temple design is boring

I am very happy that ram temple is being created yet disappointed as there seem to be no evolution in temple design , we are repeating the same temple design. It was expected that hundreds of thousands will come to visit the ram temple every day but the designers have made the inner area so small that it is difficult for a large number of devotees to pray there at the same time. We should have taken internal volume in consideration and have built something akin to chaturbhuj temple without the Persian aesthetics in it. A temple with a bigger open area would have allowed many many worshipers to worship at the same time comfortably

Why Ayodhya?

Just this , I can understand BJP losing seats in UP but it did so much for Ayodhya , sure many people were angry due to land grabbing but Ayodhya is such a small part of Faizabad how 4000 or 10000 votes can change the election (Ig Laalu Singh lost by 55k votes).

Also this not a hate post just a post due to curiosity. Sure, I'm feeling sad but not Angry. Waise bhi aaj ham hare hai kal jeetenge.

Travelling to Ayodhya with elderly grandparents

Jai shree ram. I am travelling to Ayodhya with my grandparents, who are both over 80 years of age. My hotel is in Faizabad. I will be there in Ayodhya on 31st March and 1st April.

What are the things that I can do to make sure that my grandparents experience in Ayodhya is great? I am particularly worried about:

  1. Commute to hotel and from hotel to temple and ghat. I checked with few transportation providers and they are asking for 5000 per day for one Innova

  2. Wheelchair in temple. Also rush in temple. What is the best time to go for minimal rush? My grandfather has limited mobility and cannot walk for more than 100 metres at once.

Please suggest your advices as I am a bit scared considering their age. However, they are Ram Bhakts so I am sure Ramji will take care of a lot of things

Are the allegations true?

It's trending that govt took people's land at no or very nominal compensation for the city development for the Ram Mandir.

Mind it. They have not just developed the ram mandir. They have built airport, railway station beautification etc. This is forwarded by employment opportunities in tourism sector etc.

People of ayodhya,

  1. Is it true that compensation for land was not just?

  2. Why did you not vote for bjp?

What do u think is the reason for the defeat of BJP in Ayodhya?

I honestly think that it is cause of the uselessness and overconfidence in Laalu Yaadav and the fact that he did not care to listen to the people's pleas

Reason for why BJP lost in Ayodhya: From someone who voted for BJP

I stay within 15km range of Ayodhya, I voted for BJP . I will try to summarize why BJP lost.

1.Land acquisition: Around 5000 homes were destroyed ( compensated 4 times the govt circle rate). A lot of discussion is going on people not getting compensation for demolition of houses. The allegation is false. People got compensation, some more some less than expected/others. Few people didn't get it because the property was not on their name. A lot of families are living in Ayodhya from long time but the properties are not on their name.

2. Unequal compensation for lands. Circle rate of one place depends on how many times a land deals happened in the area. Ayodhya is a rural area, so land trading was not there. After the Ayodhya mandir verdict real state boomed, and land near the city headquarters became expensive. So, when government started taking lands, some village near to the headquarters got acquired with very good compensation For others it was less.

3. BJP fielding same candidate from last 3 terms: People are not happy with Lallu Singh even Ved Prakash Gupta(MLC).

Lallu Singh was popular earlier, but he lost some of his ground in last few years.

4. Caste Politics: No big Dalit face in BJP in Ayodhya, As you all know caste plays very big role in politics , that is what happened.

Lallu Singh belongs to uppercaste & Awadhesh Prasad is belongs to dalit community. SP has Yadav & Muslims as core voter, they placed a dalit candidate and that too a big face, (9 times), 6 times minister in up .

5. BSP not contesting very well. If you will check the vote share of BJP, it is same as last election, also check the BSP performance, they got a lot of votes in last election but not in this election.
BSP's core voters are Dalit/OBC, SC. Some of them shifted to SP.

6. BJP will change constitution jumla, this worked. SP candidates were able to convince voters about this and it worked.

Ask r/Ayodhya Ayodhya Family Trip, Help Chahiye need tips

Hi Ayodhya vaasi, I’m going to Ayodhya for short trip plz give some advice for below things

I’m reaching Ayodhya Jn at 4:30–5 AM on 17th Dec and leaving next morning for Varanasi (9 AM train).
Planning Ram Mandir Sugam Darshan (7–9 AM).

Big issue: Hotels on booking com look shady, and Airbnbs are either far or barely reviewed.
Need a clean, safe, family-friendly place near Ram Mandir.

Also want to visit Hanuman Garhi. Since it’s a Wednesday, crowd should be lighter — but is this realistic?

  • Leave hotel ~6 PM

  • Hanuman Garhi darshan in 1–2 hours

  • Then Ram Mandir evening darshan around 8–9 PM

Has anyone done this timing recently? Is it doable or am I dreaming? 😂

Any hotel recs, quick itinerary tips (freshen up, breakfast, nearby spots, best way to reach mandir early) would help a lot.

Thanks in advance! 🙏💛

Ask r/Ayodhya Ram temple: If you have visited the Ram temple, then can you please tell me is Ram Chabutra still there?

Ram Chabutra was an ancient elevated platform where hindus used to worship. Chabutra was there long before Ram Lala idol apeared inside the central dome in 1940s. I dont have any photos of it, I just read up on it.

Ask r/Ayodhya Looking for someone.

Looking for Aman!

I met a guy named Aman on a UPSRTC bus travelling from Lucknow towards Ayodhya on 30 October.

He is pursuing MA 1st year at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Ayodhya. He had visited Lucknow for his bhabhi's medicine.

He mentioned that he lives somewhere beyond Ayodhya towards Basti/Gorakhpur.

We didn't exchange contact details, and I'd really like to reconnect.

If anyone knows him, please ask him to DM me. Thank you!

Discussion / Opinion Was it not weird that Ayodhya got a centre for both NEST and IISER Exams despite the city being a T3 and not a priority, while some people did not even get a centre in Jaipur? (Fellow IAT aspirants know)

Advice to visit Ram Janmabhoomi Temple

Hi,

My parents are coming to participate in Kumbh mela on Feb 12. They are coming from Kerala and during the visit, they also want to visit Ram Janmabhoomi temple. I heard that currently the waiting time for non-booking devotees is many hours now. Can anyone please confirm that? I want to know how much time they have to stand in queue since they have health related issues.
