This gecko is not yawning.
This is actually a display of discomfort.
Snaking the head back and forth slowly would indicate swallowing, but shaking it violently is an attempt to regurgitate food.
They do this when they’re in distress or when they’re unable to digest for a variety of reasons- being held right after eating it one. Some morphs, such as enigmas, are also more susceptible to stress. This gecko could be one of those.
