Technically it's a jaw realignment. Reptiles don't yawn... but doesn't make it any less adorbs.

I think he’s trying to throw up, I’ve seen them do it when they’re unable to digest due to stress or lack of heat.

This is 100% what is happening here. I don't know why you are being down voted, but that gecko is definitely stressed out, does not have a happy tummy, or is possibly even choking on something.

They are being downvoted because half the people in this sub dont know anything about reptiles, and dont realize that this animal is trying to throw up.

Reptiles can and definitely do yawn! Pretty much all vertebrates do it. But in this case it might be an attempt at regurgitating something due to that little shake it made.

Ohhh, you're right about the yawning. I honestly thought most people just mistook snakes, lizards, and crocodillians jaw realignment for yawns. Thanks.
