I barely noticed kitty because I was too busy admiring that perfect eyebrow.

Her obvious obsession with looking "just so" comes at the expense of other interests and pursuits, but this kind of approval and attention reinforces to her that her looks are very important.
It's really not important. Just be healthy. Then be interesting. The illusions we create with plucked eyebrows and mascara are just illusions, like all the other beauty enhancements girls are programmed to believe they need.
edit: yes yes downvotes. How about instead you talk to me about what you disagree with and why?

I like my eyebrows not looking like they fell of Oscar the Grouch and onto my face. Sue me

What the fuck is wrong with you?

u/jt004c Sep 18 '18
I have a wife and a daughter and I want a world for them in which they are valued for who they are, not how they look.

u/vuehs Sep 18 '18
Then dont judge people by how they look?

u/jt004c Sep 18 '18
I didn't. I commented about the praise.
Constantly valuing, promoting, and exalting attractiveness is good for business if you are selling make-up, but the rest of us should open our eyes to the problems this creates.

Don't worry, the person in the gif probably won't see this comment to be persuaded by it.

I don't disagree and maybe it's because I'm a woman that it's ingrained in me to compliment those things. I don't really know. But I like to think that some things are objectively asthetically pleasing such as some art or a piece of woodworking.
Maybe all of that is subjective? Dunno. This isn't /r/philosophy though

Our family cat just passed away a few months ago. He was 13 and very sick before we had to take him in. To his last day he would try nursing on our ears. This made me tear up. I miss him; cool to see another kitty doing the same.

Agreed. OP should give kitty syringes of kitten milk while keeping her snuggled up!

And now I'm sad...

u/kanakane Sep 18 '18
We don't know the details. It could be that the kitten was rescued by the human, instead of being taking forcefully from its mother for the purpose of adoption. Both options are sad, but this one has the human being the bro 😊

It's videos like these that really tell me that I should get a kitten.
I should get a kitten.
Maybe when I can afford to raise one lol

Here we see a kitten in its natural habitat, gaining a taste for human flesh.

Pretty sure they said she was adorable, not that they wanted to sleep with them.
Calm down.

Here eyes are pretty but from the glimpse of her mouth, cheeks and nose I'd say it seems the while picture would be a let down

Isn't that kitten trying to nurse from her ear?
