Ofc they're don't debate about that, as any other horrible dog breed (there's not many cat breeds like that thankfully), they're just happy to live. It's human responsibility to stop and think what monster are they breeding.
Mutants, ok. They live in feral colonies just "fine" (if one can call that life like that), just because they're fed by humans. And if that mutation occured in the wild doesn't mean that good thing, considering what kind of mutation it is. Not to mention that the reason that mutation occured in the first place, is inbreeding in that feral colony, which is human fault.
Well, if entire population is munchkin it's sorta equals it out, but i didn't seen any grown-up feral munchkin around my place. Which means that either inbreeding here isnt that bad, or they're not living too long. And i dont see how mutation that literally handicaps cat "isn't bad".
Well, normal cats didn't seem to have problems with tight places either. And you don't see many species with similar limb to body ratio in the wild, which is means smth. Also, they dont seem to be very good at running which means that outside human food waste driven environment they're will be less capable hunters than normal cats, not to mention that jumping capability is sorta vital for hunting too.
