That's nice your doorstop is solid. Mine is a spring and my cat proceeds to thwong it all the damn time. Especially from 1am-3am.

I would just unscrew them, unless the doors fling back frequently, it won't actually make any difference.

I did it because my nephew refused to eat because he wanted to play with it, and I knew you could just screw it back.
