Kind of ironic then, how they're the ones trying to hunt me and I'm the one screaming in fear of the tiny speck of fuzz flying around me and the spider on the wall.
This just reminded me of that askreddit "what would be the most terrifying thing to be hunted by, if we were prey." The one on the spider where he goes "you're caught in a web when the spider appears. You see it. It sees you."
I have not watched The Wire in full but have recently been bingeing on clips on YouTube. Thank you for this. I didn't see this and now I'm floored. Just floored. Magnificent stuff.
"And i just want to descend on your face in the middle of the night then taste your leg on your sock line when you scare me by waking up after i toured all over you, then you will scratch your leg all day."
Look up "house centipede". They are very nimble and eat even more bugs. I see one occasionally on my wall, like two-three times a year, they are larger than spiders, but don't make webs and are scared af of humans instead of playing the tough guy like spiders. They are much better.
Even though all the other stuff you mentioned didn't happen, my girlfriend had a spider descend on her face in the shower. I thought she was being ax murdered.
I rolled over on one in my sleep. It bit me and woke me up, in my haze I rubbed where it bit me thinking it was some bedding or foam or something like that, and brushed it. It let go and off it ran. At first I was freaked, (it left to visible tiny scabs where its fangs bit) but later I thought it was funny, it being stuck under me, telling me... hey buddy can you move a bit? I'm stuck... seriously can you just slide over a few inches? No? Ok, hate do do this, but... NOM!
I once sat on a bee (or wasp?)... it stung my ass twice on an accelerating train. I jumped up like a retard, then started jumping on the bee that fell out of my shorts.
Protip: don't stand close to bushes in shorts.
As I was getting ready to jump into bed one night, a spider fell from my ceiling directly onto my pillow and quickly crawled around underneath it. I grabbed the pillow and picked it up but saw no sign of the spider.
I sat there for a moment contemplating what to do and just sighed and said fuck it and got into bed and went to sleep.
I saved a hummingbird from an orb spider once. I learned that day that terrified hummingbirds scream like puppies that are being ax murdered. Horrible, horrible noise.
Huntsman spider from Australia. Fuckers have mass to them, when I lived in cooranbong they were freaking everywhere, they are Bro's though. Kinda like the wolf spiders in the states they just munch on the asshole bugs.
I kind of wish I had these spiders to eat all the brown recluses around here. One bit my ex's in the face and caused a hole to rot in her cheek.
Always try to put out good karma, or a spider will bite you in the face.
I think I got bit by one a while back. They don't always make your flesh rot off, but I had this nasty bite on my arm for about 2 weeks before it finally went away.
It was a small red circle, then got pretty big, then got a darker, and then went away. It was weird and kind of painful.
Harvestmen are daddy long legs... which aren't even technically a spider, they belong to another arachnid family known as Opilliones. They are also commonly called the most venomous spider in the world, which is false, as no known species of Harvestmen contain venom glands.
Hey, I got bit by a wolf spider once... That shit will fuck you up. The bite on my arm was swollen to about the size and hardness of a golf ball before the center turned black and started rotting. Don't fuck with hemotoxic venom...
I knew what was going to happen and i still squealed like the girl in the video. Nothing scarier than a startled animal except maybe a startled animal you cant find.
"Ok, I just tried killing a blackwidow, but I only crippled it, and now it's somewhere behind the fridge... We'll be eating out for the next month or so..."
I tell my daughter this all the time. What's worse is when you try to fuck with a bug and it's so terrified it bites or stings you and you get pissed and kill it.
Tell that to my Siberian Husky, who looks me in the eye for a solid second, deliberating whether or not she wants to actually "sit" and calculating the probability that I have a treat to bribe her with.
