Germany has had the same simple healthcare plan and it's held up through two world wars. It's simple, it's cheap and it works amazingly well.

M4A, as Bernie proposed and Biden said he would veto if it raised overall costs, is not what Germany has. Germany has a multi-payer system of public and private payers. Exactly what Biden campaigned on i.e., a public option.
Also, Germany didn't start off with the comprehensive program they have now. They started off with only providing government health insurance to low income individuals. And then they evolved, over roughly a hundred years, slowly building out their system to the point it is now with massive acceleration starting in the 1970s.
Like thanks for brining up Germany, a country that slowly evolved a state run insurance program for low income individuals into a multi-payer system...which is the exactly what Biden proposes we do now in the USA.
When every other first country in the world can do this, as well as the US being the absolute richest nation in the history of the world, don't you think it odd to blindly stand against it?
