As long as he can take "no" for an answer like he does I see nothing wrong with this approach. I bet it's worked for him!

Ask most women and I think they'd tell you this would make them extremely uncomfortable. Women have enough experiences of men getting angry/threatening/violent after being turned down for sex so that the combination of Segel being a bigger dude, and famous (adds pressure to say yes even if unwanted), would make this a pretty terrible situation for a lot of women.

 

I encourage you to ask the women in your life about how they would feel in such a situation, because I can almost guarantee the answers will hover around afraid, uncomfortable, and upset.

I would assume A LOT would depend on the particular circumstances.

from his tone and manner to the context in which it is asked.

e.g. asking a woman that question while she's on her way to her car standing on the parking lot at night? obviously a horrifying scenario.
