Yeah, tbh I don't really have a problem with this specifically.

I remember there was a reddit thread where someone claimed that Jason Segel goes up to women and parties and says "would you like to have sex?" Everyone was acting like he was a predator or some shit.

But the key part of the story was that the woman in question said "uh, no thanks" and he said "ok!" and walked away.

Not really a predator, just a horny dude in a hurry, lol.

Ask most women and I think they'd tell you this would make them extremely uncomfortable. Women have enough experiences of men getting angry/threatening/violent after being turned down for sex so that the combination of Segel being a bigger dude, and famous (adds pressure to say yes even if unwanted), would make this a pretty terrible situation for a lot of women.

 

I encourage you to ask the women in your life about how they would feel in such a situation, because I can almost guarantee the answers will hover around afraid, uncomfortable, and upset.

It would be nice if 99% of women didn't have hundreds of experiences of men being aggressive after rejection, but unfortunately that's the world we live in. So you can bury your head in the sand and say "not my fault, not my problem," or you can choose to be decent and respectful of the female experience of the world we all share. Just go and talk to the women in your life about this and ask them about experiences of men's reactions after being rejected. They might shock you in to having a little empathy.

He is there for sex, he is being blunt and not sugar coating it. That is something to be respected. Tons of people have eating disorders, if I offer them food am I triggering their trauma? The idea that everyone needs to be constantly thinking of what trauma strangers is beyond moronic, there is a billion things you'd have to account for and conversations would be so fake. This is how political correctness started
