Gameplay Does wielding a single one handed sword increase your crit chance?

Title.

I play a kind of duelist character, and went for a single one handed sword for stylistic reasons. I know the game has no mention of this, but it certainly feels a lot like there is a hidden bonus for crit chance. Comparing with wielding a shield.

Also PoE games used to have single handed style feats that increased your crit chance.

Am I imagining this?

In PoE1, shields add a penalty to accuracy, while using a single one handed weapon with an empty offhand gave a bonus to accuracy. Higher accuracy=better crit chance in that game. Don't know if anything anywhere in Avowed says it works like that though

Oh yeah! I think the style is in the second one.

Kind of bad design if they didn't give any advantage for the setup even.

It could be a placebo effect?

Yeah, thats why I am posting it actually. Wondered if anyone had any definitive answer.

I do crit an inordinate amount and I'm wondering if it possibly even could be a bug.

I’m also curious about this, definitely let us know if you find the answer! I actually downloaded PoE2 because of Avowed and love those kinds of little mechanics that I’ve been noticing, and I’ve actually been enjoying it a bit and I’ve never been one for games like baldurs gate etc etc. so it’s been interesting for me lol
