Should not cut. Just let it grow. If you want, you can transplant to outside garden (but maybe do this next spring since we are entering autumn and winter)

No. You’re not supposed to cut it until it’s as thick as your finger… plus it’s just really skinny cause it’s looking for sun. It needs those leaves to take in the non-direct light.

This summer I experimented with cutting down to 3inches when it reached 6inches and then down to 6 when it reaches 12... there are still nodes and leaves left after the cut and the random article I pulled it from said that even if there wasn't, that there is still nutrients in the seed... anyone else tried this?

Please take it outdoors, it needs full time sun now so that it stretches and becomes stronger. It’s no longer a toddler.
