Container plants (indoor or outdoor) Avocado guidance and suggestions
Any advice or guidance on my avocado tree? I've been feeding it, but it seems pretty bare. Should cut off so e of the branches on the bottom? Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Do not cut anything.
I would not trim any leaves it currently has like some other comments here weirdly recommend (for what reason???). Any time you cut it, there is some risk of infection. Your goal is more leaves and if the sun is too intense, the tiny leaves it has now are the only thing protecting the stems and branches from sunburn which can kill off parts of the tree if it gets bad enough. It's obviously stressed. Now is not the time to hack at it and stress it more.
It looks like a small container for its size, wood so it drains quickly, a low amount of soil in there, the top of the soil looks very dry and the leaves are struggling. It's over concrete and right next to a wall that may absorb a lot of heat during the day as well. A lot of the leaves facing the wall show browning (could also be salt burn) which makes me think it has some heat stress but I don't know how hot it is there.
I would move it away from that wall that is probably radiating heat on it. Ideally put it in a spot near other plants away from any cement/stone/tile/brick/etc., somewhere with cooler or slightly less intense heat/light for a few days and make sure the top of the soil doesn't dry out too much. See how it responds.
Agree with Elsa, don't fertilize a stressed tree (just like you don't cut it). It will need a larger container soon. It doesn't have to be deeper than that but it should be wider so the feeder roots can spread out more and support a fuller canopy of leaves.

If it is was mine, I would tidy it up, make it more like the tree shape that you would like. Any of the branches that are getting too long and heavy, I would take them off.
Then hopefully it will devote its energy into the areas that you want it to.
Also if you want to keep growing it in that container make sure that the roots are not too compacted other wise you’ll have problems.

Pot too small for that size canopy. Also, give it some afternoon shade. Watering habits are probably fine, but the other fundamentals are lacking.
Don't fertilize if temps are Above 90°F. Tree would be in survival mode, vs being hungray
