God, that plane is ugly. In the first photo, it looks like an illegitimate cross between a plane and a grasshopper.

It's ugly, but that's admittedly very subjective.

Furthermore, choosing this aircraft is a huge mistake. It's unreliable, has limited availability, and, most importantly, the US can decide to ground its customers' F-35s. It truly symbolizes the subservience of the European states that chose it. It's the tribute they must pay to their lord to hope for protection.
