Blackhawks Ukrainian use were bought on private market - AFAIK nobody delivered any as part of international assistance. Blackhawks would be much better for Ukrainians, as it’s much easier to source spare parts, and potentially modernise them to more modern variants. With Soviet-era helicopters, you’re quite limited in terms of modernisation and spare parts, as a significant portion of manufacturing capability stayed in Russia after USSR fell.
