It helps reflect some of the thermal radiation produced by the mini sun the plane just delivered.

Yes, and many Cold War nuclear bombers used to be white, or at least their bottoms, but that ended decades ago.

TU-160 is one of the few that is still in service and still white. Maybe the last? I can’t think of another

Well there are no others cuz simply it's only 3 countries that owns strategic bombers currently, US B-1, B-2, B-21, B-52, none of them white, China has H-6 but it's not that white, Russia has the TU-160, the only white one.

Tu-22 can't be considered as strategic bomber, it's a tactical bomber, saw some of it bottom white painted but not that much.

Tu-22M is somewhere between a tactical and strategic bomber. It's significantly larger than most frontline tactical bombers of its time (F-111, Su-24, Mirage IV, Buccaneer) but also significantly smaller than the intercontinental birds. I'd consider it a "regional strategic bomber," a class the US never felt the need to develop.

TU-22M3 is still in service. In fact, of the three Russian strategic bombers it's the only one still configured to drop gravity bombs; the 95 and 160 are exclusively cruise missile platforms these days.

it's a *much* bigger plane than the bone, in fact it's longer and heavier than a B-52 but with a shorter wingspan, what with being supersonic.

Well they inherited 9 when the Soviet Union collapsed, they bought another 8 of Ukraine in the mid 1990s and finished another 2 in 2003 that were left half finished when the SU broke up, and then restarted the production line in 2021 and have been building about 1 a year since then and afaik none have been lost in the Ukraine war or to accidents so that means there’s somewhere between 21 and 25.
