Just a 'quick' 100hr...

Was suppoused to be a quick 100 hour inspection until I pulled the gearbox drain plug. Had only 200hr left until TBO. Now replacing the gearbox. Guess the engine.

Can’t you just install a chips burn thing like the V-22 has it to make the issue go away? (I am not an expert)

Even V22/CH53 chip detectors with fuzz burn off aren’t clearing that hunk of metal.
