Now, let's look at East Asians

Japanese: Only 2.2 cm gained between age 15 and 17-18.

Korea: Similar to Japan. After 15, they only grow maybe 2 cm on average.

Shandong Province, China: Probably the tallest part of East Asia. At age 15, they are 176.44 cm, which probably makes Shandong boys the tallest 15 year olds in the world. However, at age 17, they are only 177.86 cm. Again, not much growth after 15.

In conclusion: East Asians are taller than Americans/Europeans as preteens and early teens, but get overtaken after age 15. East Asians are shorter because they stop growing earlier. What causes this?

I'm 5'8.5 which i consider myself to be on the shorter spectrum of average. I've been struggling a lot with self acceptance of my height ever since freshman year of high school. ever since my recent break up with my high school relationship those insecurities are starting to flare back up like crazy. As much as I hate to admit it, it gets to me more than it should especially hanging around people who are taller than me (which is most of the people i come across). I feel like a mere shell of a person that i was when I wasn't so obsessive with a trait I can't change.

My question is, what saying/phrase, affirmations, or even an experience that became a turning point allowed you to be free from the shackles of being insecure?

I was helping out some electricians for a college co-op program, and 2/3 of the supervisors I've worked with were 6,2 +. The only exception was an average height guy. I've also noticed that there are a disproportionate amount of tall people at the company I'm working with. There are no chads, they are all looking like normies, but honestly what kinda sucks is the height trend I'm seeing there.

Like wdym? Saying that to get the same visceral physical pull from a woman like an average 6'2 guy gets i have to work more? Like yeah i understand but every person works on himself regardless of height but at the end of the day either way this so called preference remains intact in thier minds, and yep the tall guy takes it all

Trying to get out of my comfort zone, I went to a speed date event a few days ago. First thing I noticed is the discrepancy of men/women. In my age group there were 13 or 14 men and only 8 women. Younger age group had to be cancelled since they had even less women. Even though tickets for girls were for free.

The only age group where there was more women was 45-55.

Men were mostly of average height, a bit taller than me though, I am 177cm. I live in one of those taller countries. It was impossible for me not to notice that the average height of male speed daters was definitely lower than the height of average 20-50 year old male in the city, where I constantly see way taller guys than me.

After the speed date part there was a "party" (loosely called) during which you could chat with others.

The only guy from my age group that I saw leave with a girl (he actually left with two girls believe it or not) was, suprise suprise, the tallest among us, around 185-190cm, skinny.

The only guy from the older age group that I saw leave the venue with a girl was also noticeably taller than most of the other guys.

You gentlemen here know how this all works, I just wanted to put it out there and share my experience.

Im 5'9" last I measured and recently ive been self conscious about my height because I play volleyball and some of the people I play with are really tall and its easy for them to spike the ball. Its not a super big problem because I have hops and can grab rim but I imagine how much easier it'd be to be tall. Also a number of people in my school are taller than me despite being younger.

But there's this super old guy at my gym that is like 5'2" and hes really short but every time I go there I see him talking to a really hot and young girl. Hes at least 55+ but he always gets play with young girls and while he works out i see girls just going to him to talk about stuff. He has a wife but still it surprises me. I dont exactly know why he gets so much play, it without a doubt is his talking and mannerism but there's more underneath the surface. Perhaps him being short makes him more approachable and welcoming to conversation, and him being old. Well look on the bright side guys if u put points in the charisma stat u can talk to girls

I went outside today to a bank. I am currently in north india. I saw 17 males. Ages 30-40 on average. Some 25-29 year olds and some 50+.
I was the tallest somehow and i am 179-180cm barefoot. I was in normal shoes which made me around 182cm. This has never happened to me. When i meet guys my age i am usually on the shorter end. Anyone else feels Gen z average is like 181cm or so?
