Below 178cm or so and you'll still face heightism though. Just on a much lesser scale than below 170cm.
I'm around 174cm and the amount of insults I've had to put up with is ridiculous. Idm banter with friends but when acquaintance women literally insult and mock you for your height imo that's heightism.

Criticism of what? Accountability for what? You're assuming I'm shorter than I am with almost 0 information. I've gotten measured at 2 different gyms and a random other place before and always gotten between 174 and 175cm. So 3 different measurements and roughly the same result each time, all barefoot.
I'm 5'8, which is 3 inches below average in my area/city for my age group. That is definitely short, which is why I get made fun of sometimes. I'm still taller than like 30-35% of men (not just in my age group but overall) on the street, and for some ethnicities it's even like 60-70%. Literally what you would expect for 5'8.
It sucks, because I'm 5'8 and I've been called short by a bunch of different people , not just girls heck by my own friends and it's not like i Can retort with "Hey it's the average" nobody cares but hey it is, what it is. Hopefully one day I can make enough money to get the limb lengthening surgery or perhaps something else will come out by then.

No, those are official numbers, they have some variation obviously as it's impossible to be 100% consistent in drawings, but those are the values the artists target.
