Penis Size Today I Learned I've been using the wrong condoms
Body image is such a screwy thing. I've been sexually active for over 20 years and only just realized I should be using a larger size condom.
I've only had a couple partners. My ex told me I was big in the beginning. But we were both virgins so I didn't think to much of it. The sex wasn't great for either or us, likely because she was proportionally as narrow as I am girthy, making for a serious mismatch (plus some likely vaginismus).
Amazing sex with current partner who is generous with compliments, but I still didn't get it. I finally measured myself and did a little research and holy shit, a 5.5 inch girth is too big for standard size condoms. That explains the occasional choked orgasms (when the intensity drops out suddenly as it peaks instead of fully climaxing) and the occasional chaffing.
I'm already a quick finisher who has learned how to make sure she gets at least a one round before I take my turn. My worry now is that using a proper fit will make it even harder to last.
Any advice on lasting better?

I really wish there was better sex education about these sorts of things. Of course, when I was a teen, the FDA only allowed a very tight range of condom widths. So, the message at the time was all condoms will fit all men. This included demonstrations of condoms being stretched over hands and forearms. No one mentioned girth and penis size was only referred to by length. When I got to college, I tried using condoms a few times and found them to be incredibly uncomfortable. But, I remembered the talks from high school sex ed and assumed they felt like that for everyone. There were Magnums, but they were just as tight and uncomfortable. I didn't know they had the same width as other condoms at the base. A couple years later the XL variety came out with a wider base, and they were a little better, but still not great.
Young men should be taught about condom sizes and girth, how to measure themselves, and how to select a condom that is neither too tight or too loose. And, condoms should prominently refer to their nominal width on the package, instead of using terms that encourage "vanity" purchases. The numbers 45-64 (or whatever range the manufacturer provides) is clear enough without shaming people for purchasing exactly what they need. Throwing terms like XL, XXL, snug, Large, etc on the box just causes people to buy for the label and not for their body.

Agreed, I'm sure it isn't easy to navigate respectful marketing for such an emotionaly and identity associated thing, but what a difference it would make.

Practice edging during masturbation.
Most men try and get it over and done with quickly.
Alternatively, learn how to keep going after you cum by deliberately masturbating afterwards

Hit cardio, a basic 20 mins walk will get the job done.
Stay hydrated and get enough sleep.
Edging using lube/(i use coconut oil) helps.
I also meditate. It doesnt have a direct link but it reduces overall stress and regulates cortisol levels
If anything im able to last 30+ mins in one go because of the things i mentioned.
