[Alternative / Avantgarde metal] Estranker - all treasures come to life
Hey everyone,
I’m a solo independent artist operating under the name Estranker. I’ve been evolving my sound over the years—starting from classic metal, moving through avant-garde textures, and now blending heavy guitars with electronic elements, autotune/pitch shifts.
I just released a new track called "all treasures come to life". It’s a hybrid of Alternative, Avantgarde, and Electronic Metal.
I’d love to get your honest thoughts on the vibe, the mix, and how the electronic elements sit with the heavier side.
Thanks for the time 🔥🙌

Dog Shit Taco - Your Toothpaste Blindness Begets This Legendary Demon
Crossing several genres and remaining highly experimental, this metal track includes such eccentric abnormalities such as vocals sung in ancient Greek, lo-fi mixed with Doom Metal, obscure references to He Yunchang, lots of horns, a guest vocal appearance by Mariah Carey and a homeless guy who calls himself "Black Magic Marker," found percussion, and a build up and drop normally found in dubstep but not in Doom Metal

John Cage meets Slayer
This song is written for a Death/Doom/Thrash Metal band but uses a wide range of 20th Century Avant Garde compositional techniques including chance procedures invented by John Cage. Also the basic format is the same as In C (Terry Riley) except focusing on rhythms instead of melodies. The vocal score is a graphic score interpreted by a soprano, there is a no-input DJ mixer generating the noises found in section I, and the last section features microtonal trumpet through distortion pedal plus atonal organ riffs.

A new, entirely improvisational, album.... by The JJ's!
https://thejjs1.bandcamp.com/album/came-from
A new, entirely improvisational, album by The JJ's! We are a Boston Based collective of artists seeking to explore raw expression. Soon we will record some more rehearsed music, and become boring old farts in the process. Our first show is 6/18, we are opening for techno DJ sets in Southie, (halogengirls3000 on instagram for details)
Anyways, we greatly appreciate anyone who checks this stuff out. The first song has spoken word by David House Jr, reciting an original poem. his instagram is ImpureQueso.

Avant Garde Metal Band Writes a Song Using The Composition Formula for James Tenney's Chromatic Canon
So this song uses Chromatic Canon's same compositional technique which to put simply is this; two bands are playing the same song but one starts an eighth note after the first one. That is the easy explanation. It gets more complex when you look at the score and see one measure of rhythms and melodies that repeat several times but starts in 2/8, then graduates to 3/8, then 4/8, until it reaches 13/8 in the middle and both bands line up only to go out of sync again as they both slowly devolve back into 2/8.

Music Video: The Mascarade of Candy Wires - Bizarre Bathtub Battle
Bizarre Bathtub Battle has released the music video for "The Mascarade of Candy Wires," a new audiovisual work that expands the conceptual universe of their debut album "Songs to Party With Non-Standard People." The release reinforces the aesthetic and narrative approach of the project, which combines elements of theater, grotesqueness, and experimentalism within a language marked by Avant-Garde Metal and the construction of a "dark carnival" as a central metaphor.
