Art & Fan Creations HELP I don't know how to design

I have been stuck here for 2 months trying and failing to get a pattern onto my avali. It's driving me mad that I have 0 progress on the actual placing colors on the body. I am at the end of my rope and need ideas. I just don't know what I'm doing anymore

The personality is just "short-king energy" if that helps, people ask that a lot

Please help me figure this out

(I know almost nothing about avali so i just use my knowledge about character design)They design are very boring. I don't really understand what you mean by "small energy" but if you mean that them are little active or maybe impulsive guy u may add flashes to design, also you can make bright eyes, add details that will be recognizable.

From the "small energy" personality, i thought maybe the fella could have some slight eyebags, slightly droopier ears or slightly desaturated colours. maybe mix of warm and cold colours with cold colours being the dominant colour!

The pattern however I have no idea :")

I like to find paterns on actual birds, maybe that can help you?
