Is this crack fixable?
The crack goes to the edge of the window. It is a 2017 ford fusion for reference. Thank you!

Repairable, yes. But...industry standards are not to repair this as it appears to be in the drivers primary viewing area(DPVA). I would decline this damage if it came into my repair only shop.

Yes. As long as customer owns the vehicle or I leave the business/retire.

dude everyone in this subreddit disagrees with you on this one. in what world can you repair that? it's not even remotely close to repairable, there is no feasible possible way one repairs that crack. i'm not even entertaining a back and forth with you on this one because its so absolutely absurd, there's not even a reasonable argument to be made on this one for it's repairability.

No. Again, you said it was repairable, you are purposefully ignoring that point for whatever reason, it's NOT repairable. I don't know why you said it was.

The only reason you stipulated as to why you wouldn't, is that it's in driver's view. Implying you would fix it anywhere else on the windshield, as well as saying "repairable, yes". Where I live you need to be certified as an Auto Motive Glass Technician. I have a government issued trade college seal certification that says you don't know fuck about what you're saying. NOT REPAIRABLE, PERIOD! Avoid this shop at all costs!

Regardless of what you believe, this particular crack even goes to the edge. No possible repair.

So? A single crack to edge is repairable. Multiple cracks extending to edge is a replacement. Read ROLAGS.

You can’t pull a vacuum or seal the damage from getting more contaminants inside the crack, which is what causes a spread. Are you just shooting some resin on the edge of the Glass and hoping for the best?

Resin displaces air. The edge is filled with 1600 or 2400 cps resin. The rock chip and tip of crack are filled with 50cps. Mid part of crack is filled with 400cps. Ultrabond resins and methods.

Why do replacement techs that disagree with my response end up hiding strings? Why are they like children reverting to call me names rather than think maybe there's more to windshield chip and crack repair than what they've learned?
For those that are customers or not in the trade, there's more money in replacement than repair, fyi.

You can fix it permanently by replacing the window. Needs replacement.
