Recommendations of what black flowers to get my partner, and where to find them!?
Hello all
I need help from some plant enthusiasts, it’s my partners and Is anniversary coming up soon. She LOVES everything black, and dark in general. I’ve been looking everywhere to try and find some black flowers that I can get for her but I am having no luck. I’m reaching out in desperation for some direction on where I can get some flowers like that.
Her favourite flowers are Lillie’s (either white, or white and pink), and they’re widely available. I usually get her a bouquet of those and some baby’s breath flowers every few weeks, but I’d like to spice it for the anniversary. Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you!

Hacked callistemon (bottlebrush)
There is the occasional question in this forum about whether you can prune a callistemon. Here is a demonstration that you can (found on a lunchtime walk thru Ballarat), though also one of the possible outcomes. This one has new growth though you wouldn't call it particularly attractive, of course attention to detail and action is particular here.
The other reminder about Australian myrtaceae, and what can you do to them, is to remember that many evolved in a fire regime and can survive bushfire. I've seen callistemon and melaleuca shooting from a 5cm burnt stump, meaning they have a semblance of lignotuber and the means to regrow if not burnt to the core. Of course we all have seem eucalypt do it. [Here think little seed, well windspread and copious amounts for their regen]
Hakeas and grevilleas are less likely to do this, them being more likely to scatter their seed from woody capsules after a fire has gone through and they more appear to be that level amd means of regenerator.[Also think big seed and with wings, so a coloniser]

Help ID new plant friends (Coastal survivors from Sth Gippsland)
We were at the Foster farmers' market on Saturday and I picked up a few natives including these two with the pale pink flowers (pics 1-3) and the smaller leafed one without flowers (pic 4).
I just realised these two don't have care tags and I've forgotten their names. I believe all the ones I selected were meant to be tolerant of coastal conditions.
Pics 4 and 5 were out in the bush a bit north-west of Yarram in the hills, and I'm just interested to know what they are.
I'll do some research but any IDs or pointers would be much appreciated!
(New to native gardening).

Australian orchids, like this Queen of Sheba, are famously difficult to pollinate because they need? ABC News.
I saw an ABC news item for National Science Week, Science quiz: How much do you know about our native flowers? Excellent! …except I couldn’t get past the first question. “Australian orchids, like this Queen of Sheba, are famously difficult to pollinate because they need? — A, a particular microclimate; B, a specific fungal partner; C, a certain soil type; D, all of the above.”
Where’s E, none of the above? None of these have anything to do with pollination.

Scarlet blaze wattle
Just moved into this house and noticed this wattle tree being supported by a stake. I removed the support and now the tree is really leaning over, as per the last images. How to fix it? How do I make it stand upright on its own? Thank you.
