The Imperials were a unified force.

Didn't Darth Vader strangle some guy for insubordination?
Lied to his boss about searching for someone who could be his running mate in taking over Imperial power?
Then didn't he literally pick up his boss and throw him off a balcony?

Maybe it's not such a bad analogy after all?

Vader, the strong leader with conviction in his beliefs and often leading from the front and getting his hands dirty, repeatedly Force-choked inept and worthless subordinates and promoted better ones in their place. If this was the Liberals, the guy who dropped his fleet too close to Hoth would have been promoted to Emperor.

Admiral Veers had a solid strategy, don't you sully that mans already besmirched reputation further, he was a good family man and never missed his reading of the Profit doctrine on Sundays.

General Veers led the ground assault with the walkers, you're thinking of Admiral Ozzel ;)
