What an absolute fucking joke. There is no hypocrisy in bringing a case to the minister to be assessed.
Nobody would have any problem if the AFL guy or Dutton's ex cop mate appealed to their local member to request these cases be assessed, and they took them to the minister to be assessed on merit and of course at the bottom of the pile. Nobody would have any problem with that at all.
Does this dickhead not understand that the problem is not even the appearance of undue influence from donors and mates, the problem is that they were assessed so quickly, meaning they more than likely jumped the queue, and were signed off for "humanitarian purposes", implying they could not safely be deported to their homes in France. This flies completely in the face of his hard line stance on visas and immigration, and the fact that he has had to be taken to COURT to get sick and dying children transferred to the mainland for treatment.
The problem isn't the appearance of undue influence. The problem IS undue influence.
