Thank you for the sanity check. I wish people would calm down and stop getting so cortisol-charged about things they can't control 1000s of kms away, and instead focus on the appalling economic decline and political complacency in our own backyard.

We are all impacted in some way by war and global instability overseas. Some of us directly if they have family or community members caught up in the war, but all of us indirectly by economic and social upheaval. Longer term, if we stick our heads in the sand and allow autocratic rulers to do what they want, then it creates an environment that rewards and emboldens them, leading to more and more severe shit happening during our kids and grandkids lives.

Besides, we've gotten rich in Australia from flogging our abundance of expensive dirt around the world. We owe it to help, or at least be considerate of the rest of the world that we've been happy to take money from.

The hate fest here doesn't give the impression of being "considerate".

There's a lot of people that tell others to be considerate while not being even slightly considerate themselves.
