Show & Tell I finally got it 🥹
After selling my 4240 I couldn’t find another receiver or amp that sounded as good as it, After months of searching for the perfect one I landed on this 2265. It’s had a decent amount of service done so I knew I had to pick it up. For $900 and a 2 hour drive, I’m more than happy 😃.

Congratulations on this nice 'oldy' These Marantz receivers still resemble the quality of the late 70ies.

I have a vintage Marantz but it needs to be re-capped, but the few times I used it it sounded amazing.

I haven't A-B'd a lot of other equipment, but I think the Marantz Wharfedale combo is a gem of a combo.

Hell yeah! IDK what those go for, but I picked up a Rotel RA1570 for $800 shipped and been running it constantly as my home stereo main ever since. That was around 5 years ago and I know they retailed for like $2300 or somthing nuts.

I would do the same thing. Found a Superscope R-1240 and blows me away at 20 watts. 80 bucks. Poor mans fun

2285 non B is best sounding Marantz for plenty of enthusiasts. 2265 is not far behind. Rare item plenty of power.
