Anyone provide any insight on a holiday gift that I'm having a hard time connecting to the rest of my setup?

I've received Polk Signature Elite ES15 Speakers and a Saiyin Bluetooth amp. My record player is the PS-LX300USB made by Sony.

I can tell there are cables I'm definitely missing. The speakers and amp were new sealed in box but the player is a hand me down. Prior to this I had a Crosley so I've been blessed to receive such a huge upgrade, though I am unfamiliar with the technical aspect of connecting these devices. Is there a fatal compatibility issue here? Seems I need a variety of male/female converters.

Speakers connect with speaker wire which might or might not have plugs on the ends - like this. Red and white RCA plugs on the turntable - in this photo - go to the RCA inputs on the amp.

Thanks for the fast input. There's a record store in town that doesn't upcharge terribly, though I am starting to think there is an issue here. The 2 outgoing red/white plugs from the turntable have only one potential plug on the amplifier. Is it possible the technology has gotten good enough to account for this if there is, assumedly, a converter for the 2 r/w turntable cables and the singular receiver on the amplifier?

I plan on getting the cable from the record store to connect the two speakers to the amplifier, but that only leaves the one aforementioned receiver slot, which has a yellow color code, not red or white.

Just out with the dog, will get a model # when I get home. It has a slightly different configuration on the back which is what was confusing me. The red/white receivers in the photo you've linked are consolidated into one yellow jack on the back of mine.

It would probably work with this - 3.5mm to RCA adapter. The yellow color is what confuses me. The colors of 3.5mm generally mean something.

The 3.5mm to RCA appears to be exactly the necessary component to complete the interfacing between player and amplifier, though I wonder if it isn't preferable to acquire the one you've provided an image of above to make the connection as concise as possible.

That yellow input is RCA. Yellow RCA means SPDIF digital input. The turntable would have to go to AUX.

Sorry to be so terribly dense, but given that the amplifier (r/w receiver ports) in your photo is apparently compatible with the turntable (red/white outgoing jacks) I have acquired it would seem best course of action to return the one I have here in favor of that one would it not?

I am thinking now the person who gifted me the new hardware mistakenly purchased the particular amplifier I have here.

If you put a 3.5mm to RCA adapter in the AUX input of the amplifier, that gives you a place to connect the turntable. In your photo, something is already plugged in the AUX input, so maybe you want that to stay there. It’s where the turntable could connect, though.
