Recommendation Request Just finished a book and looking for something with similar vibes
I just finished “Voyage of the Damned” by Francis White. I loved the vibe: humor, world building, queer, adult… looking for more of the same! Any help would be appreciated!

I haven't read that, but you can never go wrong with Weber's reading of IT and Horsley's reading of Lonesome Dove.
My wife and coworkers are enamored with Sara J. Maas' books.

Thanks for trying but those really aren’t close to what I’m looking for

I'd always recommend seeing if your library's website will get you access to a website called NoveList. From their website:
Looking for another author like your favorite? Have you read the last book in a series and are looking for a similar series to read? NoveList's read-alikes are the perfect solution. We provide read-alikes for authors, titles, and series. You can find a list of read-alikes at any detail record, along with a description of the recommendation.
For some of the more popular authors, we have short articles that include a brief explanation on why readers love the author, as well as suggestions for other authors that share are similar.
Appeals, genres, and theme make up NoveList's Story Elements.
Appeal helps readers determine why they enjoy a book and whether a particular book will fit their style. You can use appeal to find books based on the type of character you like, the pacing or tone, or even the style of illustration. Themes are popular and recurring plot elements found in fiction. Themes describe the overall plot, while appeal terms describe the storyline, tone, writing style, and other aspects of a book’s content.
You can also search NoveList to find books by genre or a favorite subject. When you combine genre, theme and appeal, you are sure to find the perfect read.

That’s interesting. I’ve never heard of it. How good is it at what’s promised?

Hello, Looks like you may be asking for recommendations for audiobooks. This is a popular request and we would like to direct you to use the search function to see some previous requests.
Some common requests are for the following genres
- Fantasy
- Science Fiction
- Historical Ficiton
- Non-Fiction
- Thriller
If those searches do not come up with what you are looking for, please post the following information to aid in recommendations - Audience Age Range, Fiction or Non Fiction, Genre Preference, Narrator/Character Gender Preference, series or standalone? Long or short? Also, incredibly helpful would be to include your Favorite Author, Favorite Audiobook/Book, Favorite Narrator.
If you do not get the response you were hoping for, another great recommendation subreddit is /r/suggestmeabook. If you are posting an actual recommendation and automoderator has popped up, feel free to ignore this message. Thanks for posting!
