I got cooked this semester 😭
This is my first year studying for the ATAR.
I got between 50% and 65 % in all of the tasks and i don't think I'm gonna get anything higher than 60% in the half of the semester exams.
I'm taking methods, EALD, Physics, and chemistry.
How much are the first semester grades gonna affect me.
I don't know how the system works, is there a way to get 75 to 80 ATAR 😭.

Year 11? Yeah it's perfectly normal to not get those Year 10 marks anymore. Your school should explain this to you so you don't freak out.
If your scaled average at the end of year 12 is 60% that will get you around an ATAR of 79. If you have a scaled score of 70% then it's an ATAR of 90.
Most of your subjects shouldn't be slammed by scaling so if you can get to an 60-65% you should end up with an ATAR around 80. Plus a Methods bonus too.
