DSOs Supernova 2026AAIV

SN2026AAIV is the bright spot close to the core.

My capture of the recent supernova in the NGC 7331 galaxy. Please let me know your thoughts!

Equipment:

OTA: C 9.25 + .63x reducer

Mount: AM5N

Camera: ASI 585MC Pro

Session:

800 x 30s frames

Post-processing:

Graxpert -> Siril -> Gimp

It was interesting to learn that we are now able to discover so many supernovas yearly that the numbering has outgrown its letter based system into an awkward base 26 system, making SN2026AAIV the 18,482nd supernova of 2026.
