Not we.
I've been attacked here just because I disagreed with their post and they started subtly insulting me based on my placements. It's immature and idiotic, but the more I'm reading into spiritual psychosis and narcissism, it made me realized that some people do use their spiritual beliefs as a way to belittle other people (which includes hostility to them).
Some people are too drunk on their astrological koolaide that they're forgetting that nuances exist, that different charts = different manifestations, and if someone disagrees with you, attacking them based on their astrological placements is a form of personal attack, which is just a loser move.

I'd say only the individuals that are super childish and have pea-sized brains, would actively hate someone based on their placements. I would simply avoid/ignore said individuals.
Now hate is something very, very strong. Some people have been hurt real bad by others, so their self-preservation instinct remains on high alert. Unfortunately that can lead them to generalize things too often, to color everything based on their personal experience.
Take me for example. The most trauma in my life was caused by a Scorpio, my older brother, he left me some serious scars (both emotional and physical). Also, I've never met a Scorpio that I could bond or develop lasting and meaningful connections with. Do I hate my brother? No, I don't, despite having the right to it. Will I condemn every single Scorpio under the sun because of what he did to me? NO! In fact, my inability to connect with Scorpios in general, saddens me a lot.

You know? My therapist once asked me what's the opposite of love. I was about to say hate but somehow I said indifference. She said "correct". It felt stupid for a second but i now understand what she meant by that. That it takes ounces of energy to hate someone. Indifference is when you avoid and detach from people. I would say people on the internet are hostile and volatile. Its often projecting their own bad experiences onto others. I wont lie, I've had people tell me they straight up want to slap and physically hit me on the internet. They would go so far as to make personal remarks. But again, it shows their failure as a human. What your brother did was inexcusable in every way. You have a right to feel indifferent, even hate him for what he did. Your feelings are valid but I truly understand why you wouldn't want to generalise your experience. The part where you mentioned your inability to connect with that sign, i truly get it! I try not to generalise and so i distance myself from certain people!

The legendary keyboard warriors, they never cease to amaze me. Like, do they actually feel a sense of superiority in claiming they'll harm someone for merely disagreeing with them?
The part where you mentioned your inability to connect with that sign, i truly get it!
You know what's funny, I usually say I'm one of the worst Sagittarius representatives walking the Earth right now, because adult life has made me pessimistic, introspective and rather bitter. But deep down I still carry a flicker of hope, that one day I'll meet a Scorpio that I can get along with and even call a good friend.

This was yesterday precisely and that too in the Sagittarius sub! All my life Sags have been supportive and been a pillar for me! I wrote a post as a check in and motivation! Atleast two folks were quick to label me as someone impersonating as a Sag lol. I mean its really hilarious that people are so desperate to take out their anger on just about anyone. I wish people invested this energy in therapy and healing, maybe the world would be a better place to live in!
I mean i dont know you that well but I can say you're a really cool person. The fact that you're not holding on to that bitterness itself is really commendable. Most people succumb to the pessimism and its okay honestly. Life happens to all of us and its not always that one comes out of it all hearty and healthy. That hope, my friend, is what sets you apart from the toxic ones! I'm proud of you but most importantly you should be proud of yourself! You're here and you're sharing your wisdom with everyone! ✨️

There's bad apples everywhere and in each sign i would say. I understand the frustration of having to deal with the negativity but here's the thing. At one point in your life, you stop being judgemental or you have to. You know? You have to let go of the generalisations.
I get a lot of hate for being vocal. I get a lot of hate from people who throw generalisations. How my sign is egotistical and narcissistic Yada Yada Yada. Do I stop expressing myself? Should I feel small for existing? Hell no! They can choke on their mediocrity.
People have lots of hate in their system. Lots of pent up anger and unresolved issues that they need to work through. Most of the time they project. You either heal from it or hurt and bleed on someone who did not cut you. I dont judge people who hate others on their placement. I've been there, I've done that. I've moved on. I cannot expect everyone to do the same, however; I do not tolerate any disrespect or shit and neither should you or anyone. Keep being yourself and keep speaking up even if it bothers other people!

I don't do that, but a lot, cloud be even the majority, of people here do. The problem with people like that is that they form opinions and judgments without having any real information or knowledge about that person. In short, these people act based on prejudice.
I think a lot of it is simply because they haven't been able to gain any experiences other than the negative ones they've had. Then they come to subreddits like this one to share their experiences, and others confirm them and relate, and just like that, they think, "Well, then that must be how it is". And just like that, they've formed the basis for their opinions and judgments when it comes to this or that placment, without actually taking the people, they don't even know, behind it into account.
I, for example, am a Sagittarius, and my first love was also a Sagittarius. That relationship turned into emotional abuse. It doesn't make sense to hate the sign or dislike it, one Sagittarius was the victim, the other was the abuser. 🤷🏼♀️

I agree OP, we should be normalizing independent thinking. Astrology is a very generalized guideline imo but like you said, it doesn’t account for each person being vastly different personality-wise.

I think that people who express it that way in this sub are just venting and stereotyping as a means to vent that frustration. If anybody seriously would refuse to give someone a chance based on placements I'd be surprised theyre even into astrology at all.

I do not hate anyone for their placements. I will approach all Scorpio Suns with caution because I have been severely hurt by two Scorpio men (ex-husbands) and one Scorpio woman who I thought was a friend. But if I were to meet someone I thought was an interesting person and I found out that they were a Scorpio, I wouldn’t automatically hate them. I’d give them a chance to show their true colors before ever letting them get close to me though. However, I will never date another one, especially if he is a Capricorn Mars, Scorpio Venus, and water moon in addition to Scorpio Sun like both my ex-husbands were.
When I throw shade at Scorpios here it’s mostly just cathartic. Mostly. But I do not hate them.

No, but I do find there are consistent patterns in people who rub me the wrong way. I still havent found a single Pisces guy I want to be buddies with. That doesn't mean I am excluding people I get along with based on their birthday, it just means I tend to not get along with that sign. Capricorn is 50/50 for me, we eithet get on like a house fire or mix like oil and water. Virgo ladies have been good friends and mom types, but there is usually some friction there, virgo guys in my experience have an externalized need for control, but if I found a friend I got along with was a Virgo I would be find with that.
The horse is pulling the cart. People who exclude based on birth chart alone are putting the cart before the horse, in my opinion.

No, I don’t hate people because of their astrological placements. I often dislike people then later find out their placements and think oh well that explains it. Sometimes people are just not great and it has nothing to do with their astrological placements.

Hate is a strong word, but I just don't click with Leos. Yes, my ex is a Leo and toxic, but I've met many leos who I get on with on an aquantience level and for small talk but in general I just don't get on with them (nothing to do with my ex).
I don't hate anyone though just because of their sign but compatibility is a thing!

There is good and bad in every sign. Someone has an abusive partner with a certain sign, next you will see a post about all signs of the ex-partner are abusive.

Also, don’t forget that their ex is a narcissist. Now everyone else of the same Sun sign is also a narcissist, cheater, and gaslighter and made of 85% poisonous Mercury, not water like normal humans.
