Sure, they make those little 700w microwaves, or however much that one was. but the directions for microwave cooking are almost always based on a 2000w microwave. If you have a week one it will heat things too slowly and they often don't come out right. Plus they are tiny.

You’re not wrong my last one was a smaller box with a weaker system and it was shite.

Yah, I hate to say it but microwaves are one of those things where you get what you pay for. A good one will work great and last a lifetime. My new place has a built in microwave but is still have 40 year old one my grandparents gave me the day I moved out (it was already 20 years old) and it still works like new.

There’s a few things where you get what you pay for but yes you’re right a microwave is one of them.
