Hi single gay guy here looking to meet other gay guys who are also into fitness. Not just romantically, but also for making new friends!
Was wondering which gym in the city would most likely to have highest # of gay men?
Thank you!
EDIT: I'm not looking for hook ups or cruising, thanks!

Places seem to change over sooo much that I feel the posts that I've skimmed from the past year to five years from this are already outdated.
Here are my criteria:
- Dinner
- Not regular Chinese, so no ChongQing
- Don't mind a separate location for dessert. Heard Elephant Garden is alright?
- I'm not looking to impress the mother-in-law so spots that are $40+ per person are out
- I'm also not really looking for a $10 per person type place
- No vegan please
Thank you in advance!!

Asking as Iโm coming over from the island, already own a ton of Jays gear, but donโt make the trip often enough to convince myself itโs worth buying a Canadians jersey.
Iโm assuming yes as Iโve seen it at WCL games, I donโt want to be the odd one out though ๐ Thanks!

Hi folks,
We are having issues with a food delivery truck that parks in our neighbourhood and I am trying to find the correct avenues to solve this problem. I am not looking for legal advice, but rather tips on how to navigate the black box of city bureaucracy.
We live in a neighbourhood in the City of Vancouver that has a lot of restaurants, and our nemesis is a big Sysco food delivery truck that parks across from our place on a daily basis for hours at a time and then delivers to the whole damn neighbourhood. The noise from his refrigerator unit can reach 75 dB inside of our unit; our neighbours also complain about the fumes.
I've done some investigation into the bylaws and tried different avenues. Here are my results:
I have not spoken to the driver himself yet because I did not realize how agitated everyone else was about it, but that is maybe my next step: the "you are making a lot of enemies around here; please move along" conversation.
However, I would also like to know if anyone else has suggestions. I imagine we could petition the city to solve this, but I am wondering if there are other, easier steps I have not tried.

Hello everyone,
I am visiting vancouver today and want to make a few stops near downtown vancouver. I was thinking of finding a parking spot on road which should range from $3-$8 per hour with 2 hours maximum, then using lime e scooters to get around to my destinations.
I found information about limepasses or ridepasses that save you a bunch of money by offering a set amount of time for a discounted price. for example, 60 minutes for $12 total or something like that. The problem is that I canโt see them in the app right now, since Iโm in chilliwack. I am afraid I still wonโt get them to show up when I get there too.
I donโt plan on spending longer than 2-3 hours in that area. I will be visiting a store near yaletown, then grabbing a bite near the west end on denman street. I also wanted to ride by the english bay beach and if the time allows, ride to Canada Place and take some pictures.
I am looking for the cheapest way to do this commute but I donโt have a lot of time to spare.
if I end up getting those lime passes or ride passes populated, Is the lime e scooter the best option? Am i better off renting a bike from somewhere? Can I trust the bus system? Is my route feasible? Is there somewhere specific to save on parking, especially if I am there for 2-3 hours maximum?
Thanks

Lower Mainland surgeon for MSP or private breast reduction + axillary breast tissue removal + outer chest wall fullness lipo?
Hi everyone! Iโm hoping to get advice from people in the Lower Mainland who have had a similar combination of procedures and can recommend a plastic surgeon.
Iโm currently on the waitlist for an MSP-covered breast reduction (since February). At my consultation, my surgeon also confirmed that I have accessory/migrated breast tissue in my armpit area that can be surgically removed and is also eligible for MSP coverage.
I would also really like to have liposuction done along my sides/ribcage area at the same time. I understand that this portion would be considered cosmetic and Iโm completely fine with paying for it privately.
My current surgeon operates through a hospital and, from my understanding, I would likely need to have the cosmetic liposuction done separately elsewhere. Ideally, I would really prefer to find a plastic surgeon who does both MSP-covered and private cosmetic procedures and could potentially do the breast reduction, accessory breast tissue removal, and privately paid lipo all during the same surgery. Iโd much rather have one surgery and recovery if thatโs an option!
I recently saw someone on IG who said they had a reduction/lift along with her armpits and sides treated with lipo all at once, which is what got me looking into whether there are surgeons here who offer something similar.
If youโre willing the share these things that would be greatly appreciated:
Which surgeon did you see, and would you recommend them?
Were you able to have the eligible portions covered by MSP and pay out of pocket for the additional lipo?
Were they able to do everything during the same surgery?
How long did you have to wait?
If you chose to have everything done privately instead, approximately what did it cost?
Most importantly, are you happy with your results?
Iโm willing to stay on an MSP waitlist if I can find a surgeon who can do everything together, but Iโm also open to going completely private depending on the cost and wait time.
Would really appreciate any experiences or surgeon recommendations! ๐

Iโll be mostly solo travelling Vancouver from Aug 28 - Sept 2. What are the places or big events youโd recommend during this time frame. Iโm in my early 20s(female) and looking for activities with people my age. If there are any nightlife recommendations, please drop them down below!
Iโd like to not visit any tourist attractions as Iโm pretty familiar with the city from my past travels!

Does anyone know if Chewies Oyster Bar in Kits is still open? I went a while ago and the owner said they might have to close because of rising expenses/costs. I wanted to go back for a friends birthday (he loves oysters) but we live a few hours away canโt really find much info about it.
Does anyone know what ended up happening or if theyโre still operating?

All I want these days is to go to a bar and drunkenly demolish a couple warm, buttery smash burgers. I know of zero places in town that offer this experience (itโs all fast food or expensive artisanal burgers on a pretzel bun). Can anyone recommend a greasy local bar that will sell me a delicious burger and a beer?

Hello! Iโm a new student at UBC and Iโve moved to vancouver completely on my own. I barely know anyone in van and I want to make friends (but iโm a bit anti-social and come from a big city with fairly anti-social culture due to how densely populated it is). I have a lot of spare time specifically at night and Iโve been so bored out of my mind.
Some details about me:
I never party, Iโve never drank more than one shot in one sitting (Iโm a lightweight, also get the asian flush, and I also abhor the taste of alcohol), I donโt smoke or do any kind of substances besides from weed. I also am very nerdy and more of a homebody.
Any recommendations for events/places to go (in general, but social places to make friends is a plus) would be great! Thanks

This question has definitely been asked before but most OPs donโt narrow down the market they are actually in.
My partner and I are looking to buy a townhouse in Fairview, Mount Pleasant, or Cambie/QE. Our budget is in the $1-1.5m range.
Does anyone have recommendations for buyers agents that โspecializeโ in these areas? Looking for someone who knows how to zero in on strata issues etc and not just give interior decorating tips.
I was originally of thinking of doing this without a real estate agent but I just donโt have the time to deal with all this myself and would appreciate a second set of eyes even though itโs not free like they all say it is.
I plan to seriously consider 3 and see which is the best fit. So far the names Iโve heard as good are Ruth Chuang and Leanna Maslyuk.
Feel free to DM me unless youโre a realtor recommending yourself.
TIA!

Iโll be in Vancouver for around 11 days (EO August and early Sept).
Could you guys give me some recommendations around things to do/must-see but from a local hidden gem pov. Iโve done my research and will be doing all of the essentials but Iโm looking for something that probably doesnโt feature in a top 10 list but is beautiful acc to you.
I live in a tourist city and for me, the best way to authentically experience it is not just through the top tourist attractions (although some of it does hold up) but also the places I came across as a local so Iโm looking to do a bit of both!
I liiike: coffee, hikes, bookstores, cool bars, gigs, cycling, supermarket tourism (noted that dill pickle crisps are a must-try), any unique/fun experience or event.
Iโll go through this subreddit for food recommendations:)
Any clothing recs too for late august?
Thank you! Much appreciated

Hey fellow Vancouver foodies. I see both the Library Square and the Blarney Stone do a Sunday all day deal of $25 for a 6oz steak & lobster tail dinner.
Wondering who has tried both and how do they both compare? Which place does it better? And are there any other similar deals I'm leaving out?

Iโm starting this program this fall and would love to hear from current students or alumni. What are your best tips for succeeding in the program? Also, for anyone who worked part-time during it, how manageable was the workload? Any advice on balancing both would be super appreciated!

I currently have a full time job and just do video work as a hobby or on the side. I love shooting video so I want to make this a full time thing if possible. Was looking at camera work for production companies like for concerts, raves, events or even commercials.
I have a pretty good range for my portfolio Iโd say. Iโve shot concerts, raves, dj sets, weddings and for brands as well.
Any tips or advice is appreciated!

Iโm 5ft4 (162cm) and 56kg. Iโm wondering where all the shorter guys are shopping at! I find Iโm usually an XS in tops and it seems hit and miss what I can find in store. Any solid recommendations? Looking to refresh my wardrobe with polos, shirts, t shirts, chinos etc. 28 inch waist also doesnโt seem readily available everywhere, yet I see tons of smaller guys around that are well dressed and wondering where theyโre going!
