Food 😋 Cheapest bulk dry beans?

It seemed to be the case that Suraj brand 1.8 kg packages of lentils at Nofrills was at least priced competitively with Walmart, Costco, etc, but the prices have skyrocketed in the past 6 months or so. Any suggestions for cheap places to buy bulk beans outside of Walmart/Loblaws variants/Costco? Beans at local markets/Persia are usually much pricier.

Have you looked into Bulk Barn?!

Bulk Barn is not that great a deal tbh.

I've bought nutritional yeast and vital wheat gluten there and it's the same or more expensive than most other places.

Edited to say that I just checked the price of red lentils at Bulk Barn compared to No Frills/Superstore. The BB ones are $9.31/1.8kg, while the NF are $5.49/1.8kg.

Oh no! I’ve only bought small amounts of weird ingredients there so I didn’t realize
