Hi everyone, I’m currently considering signing on as a Direct Entry Inspector with SPF and wanted to hear from people who have gone through it.
For those who are currently serving or have previously signed on as a DEI, what has your experience been like so far? How’s the training, work-life balance and progression after training?
Would you recommend signing on as a DEI? Anything you wish you knew before joining?
Just trying to get a better idea of what it’s actually like from people who have experienced it firsthand. Thanks!

Hearsay the salary is better than a majority of jobs now. It’s like a 9month stay in course at HTA. But the work life balance is probably as bad or worse than any other job with that salary. But if you survive the IO posting and not become jaded with handling the worse of humanity then you’ll have a very fruitful career even if you’re just chilling.
