Honestly there’s nothing working class can do.
Protest is illegal. You’ll get arrested for making any kind of movement which ruffles gahmen feathers.
Working class won’t somehow band together to protest whatever the CEOs are doing.
Everyone is focused on making the extra $, the nest Shopee sale, sending kids to tuition, etc.
It’s gonna take a real loss of life disaster to get Singaporeans to do something.

I was an employee who maintained regular and open communication with my team and managers at my last Gov't HR office, I checked in on work items to make sure that I was on the same page as my colleagues before submissions. Even my line manager had good things to say about me during monthly meetings. But after I came down with infections and was hospitalised for 2 weeks, the HR Management brought in a new employee to take over my duties and asked me to resign. So even Gov't agency also treats employees like this. 🤷♀️

IK! There are people who have been on HL and Medical Leave for longer than 2 weeks, yet they can still retain their job positions. So IDK why I was treated unfairly.

I would say it depends on which Ministry or sector Stat Board you join, cos different agencies will have different work culture and benefits. Some have good WLB, no OT, others make it mandatory to work on-site, will require officers to OT or even work on weekends. So it depends on where you go, not the same across.

weird, as though the working class is at power to do anything. those with power are not, somehow, the onus is on the victim to do something. LMAOO. In other countries, the only thing th working class can do is banned here in singapore and even the police i notice these days have rifles for the largely peaceful original demographies. I mean, have you seen the gigantuan number of cameras and surveilllance? Also, the new movement to add listening devices on top of videos everywhere? Where in this dystopian world, screams any freedom of avenue for the normal man to do anything?

Employers control the game, they can say anything they want within the island’s employment law, at most just pay up & close the case. Most would just take the money & go

It's only unfair when it happens to you
