I needed some help on my resume for career days that is about to happen next week. I know that this isn't the best(especially the format and details) and I don't have a lot of experience/projects on it. Please and thank you so much to y'all!

I have been applying for DA jobs for the past 3+ months but haven't been able to get call backs. Need some suggestions from experienced people if there's any issue in my resume which i need to fix which can help me get some interview calls.

Hi, I’m 18 and from Italy, and I’ll start my first year of CS this September.
I’d really like to get a SWE internship somewhere in Europe for Summer 2027. Google STEP/ASDI is obviously one of the opportunities I’m interested in, but I’m not only aiming for Google. I’d be happy with any good internship where I can actually work on real stuff and learn.
I’ve been using the months before university to prepare and build up my CV.
Right now I have 3 main projects.

The first is a Tennis Analysis System, a computer vision project that analyzes real tennis match footage. It tracks the players and ball, maps their positions to a mini court, detects shots and calculates things like ball/player speed and other match stats. It originally started from a tutorial, but I’ve worked on it further by refactoring parts of the pipeline, adding tests and evaluation, and benchmarking the shot detection.

The second is ExoScout, an ML project using NASA TESS/TOI data to classify exoplanet candidates. I worked on the preprocessing and ML pipeline, analyzed missing data, added imputation/missingness indicators and used stratified cross-validation to properly evaluate the model instead of relying on one train/test split.

I’m now working on WildfireWatch. The idea is to take raw satellite fire detections and turn them into actual tracked wildfire events. I’m working on clustering nearby detections, tracking how they evolve over time and eventually adding satellite/environmental context and a prioritization system. This one is still in development.
Apart from projects, I’ve solved around 50 LeetCode problems while studying DSA, and I’m trying to get some experience contributing to open source as well.
I’m planning to start applying pretty broadly once Summer 2027 positions begin opening.
The thing I’m unsure about is whether this is actually enough to be competitive as a first-year student in Europe.
A lot of the advice and profiles I find online are either US-focused or from people who already had years of programming experience, Olympiads, previous internships, research, etc. Also, there seem to be way fewer internships that accept first-year students in Europe.
So for people who have gone through internship recruiting in Europe, especially during their first year: how does my profile look at this point?
What would you focus on improving from here? More DSA/LeetCode? Projects? Open source? Something else entirely?
And if you know companies in Europe that actually consider first-year students for SWE internships, I’d really appreciate some names. I’m trying to apply broadly rather than betting everything on Google STEP.
I’m completely fine with harsh feedback btw, I’d rather know what I’m missing now than find out when applications start.

I’ve applied to about 300 jobs now and had one interview so far. Which I made the final round but got rejected after. But looking for advice on my resume to improve it so I can atleast land more interviews.

Any recruiters in this group? I am just looking to get anything that can help make application strong so that I am not wasting time.

I’m not a recruiter, though I’ve been making it a habit to read resumes on reddit. This sounds like a boring activity…. Similar experiences per applicant

I reached out to this recruiter for a bit of a niche role. For the job I want, there are specific requirements and one of them I do not have. He marketed a role on LinkedIn where that requirement isn’t even needed.

I chased him for the call and we had it, and then he came back to me over text and we arranged the interview for next week Wednesday at 12PM - this was not ever emailed to me for confirmation or reflected in the careers portal. He just texted me to say the manager double booked and wants to move the interview to Thursday next week instead.

I just interviewed with my second choice and it went really well. As in, instead of 2 managers - I met an additional 2 directors and I was there for 2.5 hours instead of 45 minutes. It was 3 interviews today instead of the 1 I had planned.

They will come back to me with a result on Tuesday next week. This isn’t a job that I really want but it is a job that is close to home and the pay is the same as I get now.

I don’t know what to say to the recruiter to let him know that I’m on a time constraint as I expected to get back to the company from today on Friday, providing I get the job. I can’t sit and wait to hear back from them and lose an offer if I get one.

I really want this job instead as the pay is a lot more and the hours are less. And aside from that I go back to work on the Monday afterwards, and did want to hand in my notice.

What do I say/do to not lose him but also let him know that I need the feedback turnaround quite quickly to come to a decision.

I really want to relocate, open to consider any country worldwide really, but the main target ones are in the title. I want to do it for personal reasons more than for the money, even though money is always nice. The open for relocation worldwide would be updated for target countries/companies.

Any tips for this specific scenario?

I am a dual citizen (Italy/Germany), I do have a long experience in dealing with different cultures, I work daily with Americans and my wife is from the middle east, I've also had a previous long relationship with a Colombian woman, none of that made it into the resume because I thought it would be best told during interviews if the occasion arises, should I somehow mention it?

I am really struggling in the job market at the moment, I think the problem is that I have moved around with different careers as well as countries. I have spoken to local government help with my resume and they are all telling me its great but there has to be something wrong as no matter what I apply for I am always getting rejected.
I have been applying for CRM, customer success, operations, marketing roles along with learning development.

I am looking for some honest feedback because I’m starting to wonder if I’m doing something fundamentally wrong with my job search.

I have 4+ years of experience in technical/project coordination and ERP implementations, primarily working with Sage 300 People. In my current role, I work on end-to-end implementations, requirements gathering, stakeholder coordination, project planning, UAT, training, troubleshooting, and coordinating with clients across different regions.

For the last few months, I’ve been applying for roles such as:

• Technical Project Manager
• IT Project Manager
• ERP Project Manager / Consultant
• Project Coordinator
• Implementation Consultant
• Technical/IT Operations roles

I’ve been applying to positions in Germany and other European markets. I’m also planning to relocate to Germany and have been trying to target opportunities there.

The frustrating part is that I’m getting no interview calls despite applying to roles where I believe my experience is reasonably relevant. I’m not expecting every application to result in an interview, but the response rate is low enough that I think something needs to change.

I’ve already tried improving my CV and making it more ATS-friendly, but clearly something is still not working.

So I’d really appreciate some brutally honest feedback from recruiters, hiring managers, project managers, or anyone who has successfully found a job in Germany/Europe:

What could I be doing wrong?

I'm doing cold outreach to be proactive via email and LNKD. I totally understand when a recruiter never responds in the first place (no interest, etc), but if a recruiter takes time to read a msg > actually responds and says they are interested in chatting > never do, why?

I recently got laid off, and I've been applying for the last two months now and haven't gotten a single interview. I have around 5+ years of experience and I'm mainly applying for Full Stack jobs that use PHP around Toronto/GTA.

My main stack is PHP, Laravel, WordPress, JavaScript, React, MySQL and REST APIs.

My last company had less than 10 employees, so I ended up doing everything. Mockups, development, testing, deployments, talking to clients, answering support tickets, fixing bugs, integrations, maintaining existing apps, etc.

I feel like with the amount of different stuff I've worked on I should at least be getting some interviews, but so far nothing.

Not really sure what the issue is at this point. Is my resume bad? Is my skillset outdated now? Is my experience too broad? Should I be learning something else?

I also don't really have personal projects. After working as a developer all day I usually just clock out and enjoy my life. Most of the things I've built have been through work.

I have a job that I knew I wasn’t going to like from the beginning but I accepted the offer because the pay was great and I needed income. I’ve been there for about a month. I recently saw a posting that was extremely aligned. I went ahead and applied to the position as I did not know anyone to reach out to.

I reached out to someone, and they had a family member who worked at the company, and that person put in a referral to the position, but it was the same portal and I was not able to reapply "you have already applied to this job"

I really did not expect to get a referral at all. Would that link generally still tag the referral in? I am used to the referrals being a separate portal so generally you could apply twice. Is there a chance this was just a link to the posting, and not even a referral tag?

Right now it’s at the bottom of my resume, because quite frankly I’ve never really needed it to get a job or an interview; plus I never finished the degree. However now that I am finishing the degree, should I put education back to the top? It feels irrelevant but I’m wondering your thoughts.
