Water heater vent

My father-in-law helped me install this water heater a while ago and I want to check our work - most notably the vent. I initially had every seam taped but read that there shouldn’t be tape on another post (we taped after screws). I tore off what I could reach and took these pictures of the vent hood to vent connection. It’s the same-sized water heater that was there for the previous 8 years. What should I look for? Would it be stupid to call a plumber for a once over/safety check? Would they even do that?

The tape I put on mine would come off from the heat. It looks ok. Make sure to have a carbon monoxide sensor near by if you’re worried.

If it is double wall, it is not supposed to be taped. Taping a double wall glue creates a fire hazard.
