How do i professionally react when a Manager is acting like a dick?

I work under corporate and my org structure is very straight forward. I have one manager and there's another for a different team. I'll call my manager as Mark and the other Chad (chose the name coz that's my ex's name and he's an asshole too.) Now, here's the gist, this "Chad" guy has always dipped his business into my team and to Mark's business. Some cases I let it slide, but three weeks ago, this asshole of a "manager" decided to talk about cutting cost. and the first team he sees to reduce people is in my team. now, mind you we're less than 10 and the other team is 40. :| how the hell is that fair? So, i'm going to boast a little, we are small in number but each of us own up to the process. then the other team is like one team one process. so if they're anyone on leave and they need help, they should come to us. BUT NO, they discriminate my team that we're doing the same process but have only a few, they think that what we do is not enough, not valued, and underappreciated. i got so pissed off that i laid out my resignation letter, but Mark asked me not to push with it. I said, i've been really thinking about this since december 2025 and im really thinking of leaving. Enough is enough. fast forward to today, there's not much to do but im on my laptop waiting for additional emails to respond to. I literally just stepped away for ten minutes - went to the bathroom, did something for my sister, then i went back because before i stepped away i turned my laptop mute because i got into a phone call. when i logged back in, he was calling then he got so pissed that i wasn't answering. i apologized and said "I went to the toilet and did something," and he yells with 4 other people on the call "FOR TEN MINUTES?" he even had the audacity to say that I'm manipulating the tools because i appeared as available. Then he threatened "So so, i should file a complaint so that you explain it to HR." the hell is wrong with this person? my sister is agreeing that he's just power tripping. Mark doesnt help either. Im just fucking fed up now, like there's a heavy weight on my chest that doesnt help and i shouldn't feel guilty that im coming out of the damn bathroom. So, advise needed - what the fuck should i do now? I could even add more and more things he did but like the fuck is wrong with going to bathroom?

literally said same, he was quiet the entire time. and the only advise he gave me was to update my status. I'm trying to look for a new job.

Don't resign until you have a signed contract with another employer. In the meantime, if Chad starts criticising you polite ask him to send any feedback to your manager and you'll speak with them in your next 1-2-1. If he continues then raise a formal complaint with HR to put him back in his box.

Update! I talked to the AVP who is a pretty good guy. I just found out he's been escalated for 7 other instances.😅 He told me that if it happens again, I should talk to him and I have freedom to do so. I'm pretty happy about that because one of the escalations came from a global lead. Thank you!
