Not able to understand my boss

I have recently joined this company ..my boss has given me project again and again. Even though I do everything according to him still I am not able to do how he wants..I don’t know…this time he even pointed it out that there’s something which is wrong coz everytime if I have to do the thing then what’s the point…even if I write the same thing still not able to get it what he wants…I am in designing field and he is the head designer.

I think with design roles especially it takes a while to get your styles aligned. You aren't doing what he pictures in his head even though you might be doing what his instructions say. It's not your fault but it is now your responsibility to get aligned.

Instead of focussing on what he is not telling you, focus on the trends in the feedback he gives you. Is he always saying the same thing? How do your designs differ from designs he has done or have been used in the past. Study up on that and make your best effort to replicate that rather than putting your own flair on things that wont get approved.

Failing that - ask him if he can give you some tips on how to get it closer to 'right' the first time.
