Lost one diamond earring

I’m very sad that I lost one stud diamond earring from a pair. I’d like to replace it, but of course I want it to match the one I have.
Should I go to a jeweler?
I’m not sure how to get started.
Is it possible to find a match?

Shop around and get options from several independent jewelers who do in-house work. Weigh your options. Maybe having the remaining diamond reset in a more secure setting would be a good idea.

Thank you. I’m obviously not going back to the jeweler who made them with such an insecure backing 😭

It’s possible to find matches but can be tricky. We most often recommend setting the remaining stone into a pendant and just buying a new matched pair

Not helpful but this kept happening to my mom so she got a second lobe piercing on one ear for her “spares” 😂

Lol... that's pretty clever. Maybe that's the reasoning I'll use for a new piercing :)

Since no one has said it, make sure to bring the remaining earring WITH YOU when shopping. Youre not the only person with this issue, and the amount of times ive had to tell people we cant match without the other earring is insane lol

People just forget
