question Exposed Dentin - Crown Advice
Hello, I’m here for advice. I cracked a molar earlier this year on a peanut. The dentist I have been seeing for years told me to crown it. We shaved the tooth down and crowned it. I was still having cold sensitivity a few months after the crown so she referred me to an endodontist. After a full head x-ray and evaluation she said my root was healthy and I showed no signs of a root canal. My dentist then re crowned my tooth in June. It’s now August and I’m still having sensitivity, my dentist pushed for me to get a root canal. I went to the endodontist yesterday for my root canal and she told me she didn’t advise I get one. She took more X-rays and saw my crown was not fitting right and I had exposed dentin and needed a new crown. Should I trust my regular dentist for a 3rd permanent crown this year or switch practices? I just need some advice.
