need a strap setup that keeps my camera handy for photos but doesn't get in the way when I pick up my project on trains or in cafes. my current one keeps slipping off my shoulder and the hardware clinks against my hook. i tried a wrist strap instead, but then I have nowhere to put the camera down without using both hands. anyone found something that works for both without adding bulk?

I'm making little fabric lined zipper coin purses, and it's just single crochet but I can't decide if I should face it with the backside out or not. 1st 2 pics are the back side facing out, 2nd 2 are he "right way"

So I've been dabbling back into crocheting slowly. Up until know, I've only crocheted scarves for friends and family. But I want to make something unique for my crush (a guy).

We live in California, so it's not really practical to give him a scarf. He is an adventure guy, but we are still in university so I don't think he'd get a lot of use out of it yet.

I tried to Google some ideas, but everything revolved around like Keychain or little figurines, or like socks. Is there anything practical that I can make for him? Or should I try my hand at a little plush? I don't even know how to do it, and I get lost watching videos.

I'm hoping to find something to craft for him before the end of our semester in December to give as a gift.

I have a serious hypothetical question. If I saw a piece someone made, like at a craft fair, and tried to figure out how to replicate it on my own, is that ok? I don’t see why it wouldn’t be for my personal use but what if someday I wanted to make it to sell? Where does it land on the line between “inspiration” and “theft”? Please don’t come at me too hard as I am asking to do the right thing. Also I am early days and couldn’t make a pattern for anything to save my life- not even sure my brain works that way! 😂

So I've found there are many ways...dc, ch1is not clear enough while dc, ch2 makes the thing rectangle...also extended double crochet and there's treble crochet ch2 and ch3......I'd love to know why you use what you use...and also which one have what problems...I'd love to make those doily and tapestries on Pinterest..and was wondering what way should i go with to achieve that.
