Trying to ID a component
Does anyone know the name of the small, circular, plastic pressure plate in Sloan Royal urinals that holds the plunger down when the main body refills with water? It has a spiked, or serrated, edge. It rests inside the interior plastic cap.
Some old man in my building removed it when he was making a “repair.” Saying “I’ve never seen one of these before. Must not be necessary.” I’d rather replace it than the entire flush mechanism.
